Sculpture Park
For a few years now we have been trying to get up to Storm King, a beautiful sculpture park just about an hour and a half away from the city. Not that any other trip wouldn't have been just as wonderful as Saturday, but the day couldn't have been more perfect. The air was warm & dry, the sun was bright, and the land was calm and still providing a beautiful backdrop for so many amazing sculptures.
The day began with stopping in the city for bagels, the best in the city from Tom's research. I haven't had many bagels since we've been here, so these were nothing short of delicious. So warm and crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside, smothered in cream cheeses, and butter. I savored every bite.
We then spent the rest of the day walking to and from each sculpture, relaxing in the sun, taking photos, meeting up with friends, and basking in the awe of the beauty of where we were, and what was and wasn't around us.

Great pictures! You look like Whitney in the bottom middle picture.
There is a sculpture similar to that red/tube at the Seattle Center.
Love the picture of your family under the rusted one. So cute!
You are always doing such fun things. I guess I can join you here pretty soon in the SLC.
How wonderful- where is this? One of these days I will have to get a full list of places to visit when I'm in your neck of the woods.
My sister and I have been saying for years that we were going to make it up to Storm King and we never do - thanks for the reminder. Off to bug her about it now...
Mmmmmm.... Bagels and Cream Cheese!! You have given me a major craving now!!! And I am stuck at work! Blast!
...Storm King huh.... I am going to have to put that on the "To Do" list while we are out here -- looks very fun!
oh what a little Tom ;)
Aw. I love Lukey matching with his daddy. So cute. That picture of you guys so far far away is awesome. And is does look like you enjoyed that bagel. That place looks very pretty and relaxing. And maybe it isn't relaxing but it sure looks like it. You look super cute, as always in every single picture. I love the one where Chip is chilling with the ladies and you and Sara both look beautiful in the last pic. And Carrie is right, you kinda do look like Whit in that pic. It must be because you seem so happy. All really great pictures.
Great pictures. It looks like a such serene, perfect day.
That picture of you standing under a huge block is beautiful but a little scary
