A Low Key Labor Day
We kept it pretty cool today. We had several sets of tentative plans today including Coney Island, Storm King, Dia Beacon, Central Park, but we ended up doing none of them and staying in Brooklyn. We at least knew we wanted to get as far away from our neighborhood as possible, we had the West Indies parade practically coming right down our street, loud music and trash included. So we went down to DUMBO. Standing for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. This is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. There is a terrific playground that overlooks both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges and the city skyline. This park is complete with a water stream, sand, grass, rocks, constant wedding photography, trains, the East River, a great view, and lots of kids.
Of course no day at the park would be complete unless Luke drenched himself and needed a change of clothes. Luckily Mom thought ahead this time, of course after many previous unlearned lessons.

I like the stripey shirts pic. Cute.
you guys are the cutest freakin family. glad you had a good labor day.
Oh Lukey, how cutey. I am of course curious as to what is in the sky that has his attention. Is it a bird? ("Show me bird?") Hey at least you made plans and then did something else. I made plans to get up, of which I did not do. I made plans to go to the gym, of which I did not do. I made plans to not eat crap all do, of which I did do. I made plans to not rip a whole in the buttocks area of my Paul Frank pajamas, of which I did do, of which Whitney laughed, of which I did not enjoy. I spent labor day in my ripped pajamas. It was not a good day.
Yummy water Lukey. I love how his tongue is lapping it up. Love love love. Although I would like to know when he decides it's time to drink and when it's time to wash his hands. And why did Tom not want to participate in all the water fun? And kill me now because that picture of you & Lukey in the stripes is just too cute for words. Seriously. And I want that stripe shirt. Yours, not Lukeys, as while his is cute, it would not fit me. Fun fun fun.
Luke is so cute! Love your matching shirts.
