We're Diving in

Outside_june

Yep. We just put an offer in. This giant 1700 square foot house could someday be ours.

If there are two things I have learned after living in New York, we have no need for a McMansion, and any neighborhood we choose can't be worse than our last.

so exciting! I hope you get it.
I agree about the mcmasion. I would never want a huge house. way to much to clean.

Is this the one you mentioned? So exciting! I wish we could say that we were 'diving in' to the home market... still waiting to hear back from the owner.

Hope you are well! We miss you. I guess your last Sunday was also my last Sunday. I already miss seeing the familiar faces at church. Midwood 2 is different, but hopefully a good change (it's going to be great for learning Spanish).

Keep us posted on the goings-on of you three. Tom's new studio looks awesome and they do very nice work.

Hi Alysha,

I'm finally delurking to say "Hello"! I've been following your blog ever since Jenny over at Wiksten-Made mentioned you! That's because we actually have a lot in common. We both used to live in New York (though I was only there for 6 months doing an internship.) We're both married. We both have one son (mine is 20 months). We both like to sew clothes. We both love BBW's 3835 pattern. And now... We both live in Utah! So, good luck with the house... and welcome!

I loved what you had to say about missing the crowds. I live in the downtown area of Buffalo and we have so loved the close knit neighborhoods, corner shop at the end of the block etc.. no Brooklyn mind you but there is something about New Yorkers so in your face, you either hate it or love it or both in small amounts- and oddly enough you can always tell the difference between Buffalonians and those from NYC. It's hilarious. I agree about buying a large home- it's not for me I would be happy with 1600 square feet. I'd rather spend some money on a vacation or clothes (devon istn't supposed to know that though.). Good Luck!

Exciting! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I love the house. Very cute. But what in the world are you going to do with ALL THAT ROOM?

That's so exciting you are back! I hope the house hunting goes good for you-I remember doing that and it can be so frustrating. But I'm sure you guys will find something great.

Where are you purchasing? SLC?

*fingers and toes crossed* Oh wait sorry my toes as long and ugly as they are, won't stay crossed unless I hold them crossed and that's hard to do with them currently in boots.. but in pretend world they are totally crossed.. that all goes well. And though visiting won't require a suit case, or maybe I'll bring one just to keep the tradition alive, but I'll still be able to go home if I forgot my toothbrush. Or my converse. You know, my other pair of converse. No no, the other pair.
