Did I mention?
That I have some of the most creative and talented friends ever? No really I do. Brooke (designer), Abby (designer), Katie (seamstress), to name a few.
And Amy is no exception. She makes beautiful jewelry. She has great taste (I usually want what she has), and translates it to simple yet beautiful earrings. Lucky for me, she shared her wisdom with me and taught me how to make my own. The earrings are her designs, but made by (mostly), me.
And this necklace. Not what I was initially looking for, but I love it!
We started our endeavor last week by going into the bead/jewelry district in the city. The selections are almost overwhelming. But I found almost everything I was looking for, minus a pendant for a long necklace I want to make. When I take advantage of everything that is at my disposal, I really love NY!

I LOVE jewelry making!! I have dappled in it just a little and have had a great time! I will have to come see all your creations so I can copy them! :) I might be coming down to the city not this Saturday but next so I will have to stop by and say hello! (And I need some reccomendations of Maternity and Baby stores I should visit)! Yeah for shopping!

I really like that gold ring necklace. Jewelery making is fun. I have made a few pieces and I actually just bought more beads today. I bet that you have a WAY better selection in the city though! Most of the stuff at my local Michaels was very blah.
ooh. i can't wait for you and amy to show me. i might even pierce my ears (or at least think about it a lot more) if i could make my own amy knock-offs! the necklace is great.

Alysha (wow this is the first time I've used your full name) these are fabulous. Those earrings are super cute. This is where I would normally go into how I would want you to make me a pair but since we both know I never wear earrings, your talent would just be wasted, but they are very very cute. I love the necklace. Sad though that you haven't been able to find a pendant because then I would be doing the "make me one make me one" dance (which actually to be totally honest, there isn't a dance, but sometimes I do throw my arms up in the air and kind of wiggle, which is probably as close to dancing as I get anyways), because I NEED, not just want, to have one of those. Your new skills are so very impressive. I'd post about my newly discovered talent/skill but the week isn't over yet so I'm thinking I'll find it either tonight or Saturday. I'll let you know.
