Some fall shoes

I've noticed a trend lately, at least with my taste in shoes. Every shoe that I want for fall this year reminds me of either a men's shoe, or a shoe that could easily have been worn in the 80's. It's no secret that I love flats.  I work on my feet all day so comfort is second, and these all seem pretty comfortable, and cute in my opinion.

I fell in love with these last year when I saw them at Impulse Seattle.

I searched high and low for a cheaper pair, and almost even resorted to buying a mens pair off of ebay. I didn't, and am glad I waited, they are now making knock offs.

These are from Jeffrey Campbell, I found them during one of my shopping sprees in NY at David Z's.

And this is my fake Sartoralist picture showing them off.

I also tried to buy them in brown, but they messengered the wrong size to me. I just can't get over how cute they would look with narrow jeans and a blazer, so 80's right?

I have some other favorites too.

The boat shoe, or top sider. Sperry makes a great pair, and you can get them in a variety of colors. I know Abby's with me on these.

I also love the classic Penny loafer, or the update with the tassels. This article convinced me I might need a pair this fall.

In addition to these shoes, I really need a new pair of black riding boots. Anyone have suggestions?

I love these shoes because they are SO you. And I can see you wearing them all. Well, I can actually, literally see you wearing the first ones as you provided a picture of you wearing them, so the visual isn't as hard to imagine. Penny loafers? I am sure you are right, because a year from now I'll be wanting them (I'm always a year behind you), but really? Those are the shoes we put pennies in. So yes they do remind me of the 80's because in the 80's I was putting pennies in my shoes. (I sometimes find pennies accidently in the sole of shoes now but that's just by pure luck, not on purpose).

Riding boots? I'm not questioning it, well yes I am, but I am questioning only because they have the word 'riding' in them. Are you going to take up horseback? Is that in too? I mean, it would save on gas money, but at the same time, the upkeep of a horse, would it be worth it? Or maybe you don't need the horse to go with riding boots, but that's what I think when you say 'riding boots,' especially since you didn't provide a visual.

And to make this even longer. YAY to a new BBblog post. I know you are busy, but for us not so busy (*waves to myself*), I feel like I've been waiting forever. :)

Very nice shoes, indeed. Now, about the boots. I have been trolling the internet for a month or so looking for the perfect pair and I've fallen in love with the Frye Paige Buckles Boot.
I won't be able to afford them, but wow! I think they're great.
Maybe if I had someplace to wear them besides the playground, I'd figure out a way to justify it. : > )
